I must admit that I do figure out why companies are using such draconian measures to protect their products from unauthorized copying. Anyway, they have already paid once when they have bought the DVD. But it is good that there are workarounds and despite the fact that DVD X Copy Platinum is not on the market anymore, there are still alternatives to make a legal DVD copy for personal use.
