Baldness Causes And Possible Treatments

It is bad enough on some days to just have a bad hair day, but even worse for some is to have baldness or thinning hair due to hair loss. For many, it seems as if the battle against hair loss is lost, and although we have done everything we can think of to prevent it, baldness/thinning hair is inevitable. For those who feel like they are on track to becoming bald, or fighting hair loss.

There are several causes for hair loss that have been discovered by various medical research studies. You may be surprised to learn that regardless of how well you care for your hair or how well balanced your diet is, some types of hair loss can not be slowed or prevented.

Hormones have the ability to affect hair growth, and thus loss, in both men and women. Studies show that many men who are affected by hair loss have a pattern of hair loss that is followed. The same studies indicate that hair loss in women do not follow the same kinds of hair loss patterns that men suffering from hair loss see.

Due to the diverse changes a woman's body goes through as a result of pregnancy, some women may suffer temporary hair loss after child birth. Hair loss in new mothers may last for weeks or even months after the birth of their child. Pregnancy is one of the major causes of hair loss in women.

Taking birth control pills is considered to be one of the most common causes of hair loss for women that have genetic predisposition to Androgenic Alopecia. If you know that you have someone in your family that are balding and loosing hair, you should consult your doctor before beginning to take birth control pills. The bright side of this is that the condition is usually only temporary, and it could stop after one to six months. In some cases; however, women were no longer able to regrow the hair that was lost during the months this condition existed.

Aside from all those that were mentioned, other causes of hair loss include insufficient nutrients on your diet because all the varieties of vitamins and minerals play a big part in promoting hair growth especially iron. Also, we all know that there are diseases or illnesses that could cause hair loss especially when you are undergoing treatments for cancer and other certain medications for other chronic diseases.
