One of the most important things you must do when building your network marketing business is be conscious of the environment when you bring new prospects or even new business owners together in a meeting. I don’t mean the environment like Al Gore’s new movie. What I’m talking about is the general atmosphere and attitude of the leadership of your meeting. People will only join your organization if they believe that they can succeed. Remember this as it should be the primary question you answer when you are setting up your meeting. Will this meeting increase or decrease a new person’s belief in this business? Here are a couple tips that will help immensely with this: • Veterans should be smiling and making an effort to meet every new person in the room. This will set people at ease and help in the process. • Dress should be appropriate. If your new prospects see people in old T-shirts and jeans they will assume that only suckers are willing to join this organization. • Show off success. You must have some people that you can showcase. Preferably, they have only been in your business for 6 months or less and now are having some success. • Talk about goals and dreams. This will let your prospects start to think about their own personal goals. Often people don’t even have clear ideas of why they would want to build their own business. Sharing with them some examples will get them thinking, “Yeah, I want that too…” • Enthusiasm. If nothing else, just be excited. Remember you will attract to you what you are. If the veterans are enthusiastic your prospects will be as well. Each one of these ideas are critical to your success.
