The soaring gas prices or gas crisis as some are calling it, have caused me to research alternative fuel options. Let's face the fact that the prices are not going to decrease anytime soon. Car dealerships are actually using cheap gas as an incentive to purchase a new car. That's a little troubling. When I moved to GA in 2000, I remember being excited about the gas being .15 cents cheaper than in northeast where I migrated from. At the time I drove a small two door Toyota and still tell people of the day I filled up my tank for $11.00! Those days are long gone. The not so distant past has shown us the steady increase in gas prices. There still wasn't the great need for panic no pressing desire to use alternative fuel sources on a large scale. Of course hybrids were in production and going green was spoken of, but not anything like now. Even those who complained and fussed about the prices didn't start immediately search ways to increase gas mileage. There is a new need for an alternative to gas car. When the most popular travel season hits and gas prices are over four bucks a gallon take note of the buzz for better ways to increase mpg. Bike riding to work is great if you live near the office. Riding the bus to work is wonderful if you have a couple extra hours of commute. Getting yourself a new hybrid will even help if you are in the market to shop for a new car. There are many people who cannot, for one reason or another, take advantage of these options. So there's one thing everyone can do. Here's the solution, run your car on water. That's correct convert your engine to use water for fuel. A water powered engine is not as far fetched as you might think. The technology has been around and scientists have been testing designs for water cars for years. Incredibly, many progressive thinkers detail how using water as fuel increases gas mileage, uses better fuel consumption and emits less harmful emissions. Car manufacturers can't tell everyone how to run your car on water because of the amount of money that would be lost to the big oil companies if the transition were standard. Better gas mpg is gained by using HHO to power the car instead of just your standard octane fuel. The car battery splits the water molecules creating something called Brown's Gas. This can occur with only a quart of water and will run the car for many months. The do-it-yourself manual can be found on the web and gives instruction and the parts required from the hardware store. Roughly sixty bucks covers everything you need. You don't need to be a mechanic to do the job because it is not that compicated. Converting your car to use water as fuel can be re-customized if you ever have the need to run on gas again. If this works then it would pay for itself in a month or so and the savings would continue for as long as the gas crisis. Some of the benefits are an increase gas mileage, increase in your car's fuel efficiency which of course saves you money at the gas station. The other great part about converting your engine is the government can't put any extra tax on you for running your car on water. If we don't find ways to get better mpg the cost of all consumer goods will continue to rise. Alternative fuel sources will have to be considered by everyone that's concerned with a struggling economy. High gas prices are pushing everyone to ponder how careless we are with our waste . As soon as water powered engines take over the streets, you will notice people laughing at the pump during their fill up. The menial costs of the parts to make the conversion outweighs the cost of the materials. Alternative fuel sources continue to get more attention as the summer months go on.
