Human Papilloma viruses are a specific type of viruses affecting the skin and the mucous membranes, particularly the genitals. There are about one hundred fifty kinds of these viruses and can be generally transferred through sexual contact. Manifestations of this infection are more popularly known as moles or warts. So obviously, sexual contact is just one of the means of getting the disease. Individuals with multiple sex partners are at great risk of contracting these sexually transmitted diseases. It can also be transmitted by the mother to the baby. If the mother has genital growths, the baby could suffer from respiratory infections as it could possibly breathe in the virus during the birth process. The sexually transmitted form of the virus commonly causes the sexually transmitted disease. The disease can develop within two to nine months from the time of exposure until the development of lesions. During this incubation period, the disease can be transferred by the infected person to others. It will be a good rule to follow to always be protected, especially if you will be having a sexual relationship with a new partner.
