Insuring That The Poker Bonus Is Applied To Your Account

By: Craig Edward III

Most poker rooms and other gaming sites offer bonuses for their players. These bonuses can be for signing up, re-depositing or loyalty compensation. They want your action, so good deals are out there.

With so many deals, it's often a little confusing. Let's take a look at how the sign up bonus typically works. You probably won't see better bonus deals than sign up bonuses.

The classic sign up bonus has you make an initial deposit, and you will receive a bonus. But, there's a catch, sort of. It goes something like this.

Often your sign up bonus will be a 100% bonus. That means that if you deposit $500, your bonus will also be $500. There is usually a maximum amount for these bonuses.

To collect the bonus, you need to play. After you play enough, you get your bonus. All sites have their own method for calculating how much play you need before you receive the bonus.

Here's what to look for in order to find the best bonus. The big three are, how big a bonus, how much play to clear the bonus, and how much time to clear the bonus. All three factors are important.

Each poker site has its own set of rules for their bonuses. You need to read them so you can understand what you're getting into. Knowing the rules will help you pick the best bonus.

I'll give you an example of the value of knowing rules. Let's say your bonus is 100% and you deposit $500. The rules state you need to clear the full bonus in 30 days to collect it. If you are a small stakes player this might not be possible in such a short time. Look for a different bonus.

A majority of the bonus programs pay you off in stages. You get paid a small part of the bonus each time you play enough to clear this amount. This way if you never clear the full amount, you at least get something.

In deciding which bonus to take, you must consider how much you play. You need to find a bonus that you can clear. When you find it, sign up and, good luck at the tables.

The internet poker sites compete for customers. They put out good deals to get you to play in their room. Keep an eye out, better deals show up all the time.
