Ways To Save A Marriage Can One Person Do It

By: Doug Taylor

So many ways to save a marriage out there, so many concerns about them all. But perhaps none as serious as that which this question poses: can a marriage be saved by only one spouse?

You may ask are there ways to save a marriage in trouble when only fifty percent of the married couple is willing to work at it. The answer can often be yes.

While it may seem crazy to think that a marriage can be improved through one persons efforts, especially when the other person either has no interest in fixing things or even worse they would like to see the marriage end, it really is not as impossible as you may think.

Why is this? One reason is even though there is just one person working on different ways to save a marriage that person represents one half of that couple. That is fifty percent of the couple. In other words you have as much power as your other half.

There stands a very high chance that the other person is caught up in as wide range of emotions. They may not know where their marriage is going so they tend to do nothing as a result. On the other hand the person trying to get the marriage back together may be doing everything they can to improve things and win back their loved one.

If that's not enough of an advantage, history is always on the side of the spouse trying to make things right. Whether it is years, months, or a matter of weeks, the important thing is that the couple has shared moments of happiness and passion together.

The odds are probably not nearly as bad as you may think no matter what everyone else would like you to believe.

No matter where you are in your marriage there will always be ways to save a marriage in trouble. The marriage may just be having a few rough times or you may just about be ready to divorce but you can still have hope as long as at least one of you are trying to make things right.

An example would be if your spouse is not the least bit interested in making things better then you should still move toward that goal. On the other hand if they show some desire to improve your marriage then all you have to do is suggest things and try to influence them.

There is no shortage of means to incorporate the many ways to save a marriage, even with only one spouse acting on it. There is, however, one catch: the spouse who wants to fix the marriage must know how to go about it the right way. This is where the need for reinforcements comes into play.

Even though the efforts of one half of the couple can be enough to turn things around this spouse will need information that is credible and professional. You must know the right ways to save a marriage. With the right information there will not be a question on who has the upper hand.
